Sacramental Programme - The Sacrament of Confirmation

Confirmation provides the opportunity for a person to publicly make their own profession of faith and receive the final Rite of Initiation into the Church. They are anointed and sealed with the power of the Holy Spirit so that they will be able to live as a disciple of Christ.

​Our annual programme is mainly aimed at
Year 8 - 13 students.

Other opportunities can be organised for adults to receive this Sacrament  by contacting the Parish.
"In Confirmation the soul of a baptised Christian is imprinted with a permanent seal that can be received only once and marks this individual forever as a Christian. The gift of the Holy Spirit is the strength from above in which this individual puts the grace of their Baptism into practice through their life and acts as a 'witness' for Christ."
