What to expect? At this camp it is our hope you will experience times of high energy fun and craziness as well as time to get to know others, build friendships and time to get to know yourself and your faith a little better. We promise you will not get bored. There will be challenging and sometimes messy games & activities, music, art, time to hang out get to know each other and much more. So why not join us for what will be an awesome weekend.
Who’s running the camp? The camp is being organised and facilitated by the Christ the King Youth Coordinator, Youth Council, Core Team members, and Volunteer Parents.
Who is this camp for? There will be programmes aimed at two age groups on this year’s camp Ignite Youth Programme – Years 5 – 8 students ACT1V8 Youth Programme – Year 9 -13 students
When is it on? FridayFet-4/ (Evening) to Sunday 24th February (Afternoon)
How much will it cost? The cost is only $55 per person, discounts will be given for families with more than 1 child attending ($100 for 2, $40 for each subsequent child), This cost includes camping fees and food, however if you cannot afford this please contact the youth coordinator to make other arrangements. Participants are welcome to make their own way out to the campsite, however we do hope to come up with a car pooling arrangement to make transport easier for parents.

Where are we staying? Glenroy Lodge Baptist Camp 778 Sleemans Rd Hororata, Canterbury. (See map below)
What do I Bring? Sleeping gear, Pillow, Towel, Toiletries, Enough clothes for the weekend, including plenty of warm clothing, sports gear and walking shoes, Pen & Notebook, Hat, Sunscreen, water bottle., Torch, Camera, Bible (if you have one).
What not to bring? For the enjoyment and safety of all this is a drug and alcohol free camp. Please be warned that a participant caught with either will be removed from the camp. The Parish will not be held responsible for loss of valuables so please do not bring valuables that you don’t intend carrying with you. We understand that mobile phones are seen as an essential means of contact with parents, however participants should be aware the reception will be very limited at the campsite and they will be asked to have phones turned off apart from meal breaks and free time. Bring these at your own risk.
Non-negotiables This youth camp will be a camp which will uphold the moral teaching of the Catholic church. Any participants taking part in the following activities will be immediately removed from the programme
consuming drugs or alcohol
sexual activity
illegal, violent or threatening behavior
Young people must not leave the camp grounds at any time without a parent or staff members.
