Youth Group Start of Term Three 2018
We will be kicking off Senior Youth Group for Term Two with our 'Sundae Monday' Night on the 23rd July. This is a chance for everyone to come together, play some games and have some ice-cream. All High School Students welcome!
For the third year in a row, Christ the King took a group of 22 young people to Life Teen Summer Camp on the Kapiti Coast, 16-20 January 2018.
Life Teen Summer Camp is an annual Catholic Youth Camp that seeks to engage young people in their faith and parish community. At Summer Camp our youth grow in faith and fellowship through team building activities, ropes courses, the Art Barn, messy games and sports.
In past years our group have treasured the opportunities they received to personally encounter Christ in the Sacraments, Eucharistic Adoration, praise and worship, personal prayer and in the goodness of each other!
Thank you to to everyone who helped make this experience happen for 2018 for the young people of the Parish! This year's camp was an amazing experience which all of the young people enjoyed immensely!

Christ the King Youth Ministry's Annual Second Hand Book Fundraiser was held the weekend of the 19th & 20th of August. $3560 was raised from the selling of books and raffle tickets!
Thank you to everyone for your generous donations, purchases and support. The funds raised will go towards providing resources for our youth ministry and to subsidise our parish youth camp, as well as local and national Catholic youth events that our young people attend. |

Senior Youth Group: Sundae Monday

This programme is run by our Youth Coordinator, Kaelyn, supported by a group of Young adults who make up our Parish Youth Core Team.
Our Youth Group aims to journey with and engage young people in their faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. In 2016 through small group discussions, games/activities, teachings, music and prayer experiences, our young people have explored the themes of: 'The Power of Prayer', 'The Word', 'Jeremiah 33:3' and 'Philippians 3.14'. We have had a number of fantastic guest speakers come and share teachings and testimonies with us this year too! We also have other regular events and activities throughout the year such as: our monthly Youth Mass( 9am every 2nd Sunday of the month), our annual Parish Youth Camp, Worship Nights and other social outings. |
